Engr. Olowolagba Seun Profile

Olowolagba Seun was born on 12th December 1966 at Ikere-Ekiti. He attended St. John’s African Church Primary School Afao, Ikere-Ekiti between 1972 and 1978. He later attended African Church Comprehensive High School, Ikere-Ekiti between1979and1985wherehe obtained his West African School Certificate. HeproceededtotheFederal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti where he obtained a National Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering in 1989. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the then-Ondo State University, Ado-Ekiti (Now Ekiti State University) in 1998.

He took up a teaching appointment in a private Establishment between the years 2000 and 2005 during which he was awarded a scholarship which earned him a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) from the University of Ado–Ekiti in 2005.

In his quest for job satisfaction, he joined the service of Ekiti State Water Corporation, (now Ekiti Water and Sewerage Company Ltd.), Ado-Ekiti in February 2006 as an Engr.II (Civil) where he rose to his present rank of Assistant Director (Civil). He is a Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a COREN registered Engineer. In the Ado Ekiti Chapter of the NSE, he served as a Financial Secretary between 2009 and 2011.

         Engr. Alabi is actively involved in the Design and Supervision of Water Projects

He served as a focal officer under the following programs.

  • MDGs/CGs project (Now SDG’s)
  • European Union Water Supply and Sanitation
    Sector Reform Programme Phase III (EU-WSSSRP).

He was involved in the Third National Urban Water Sector Reform projects (NUWSRPIII).

He’s currently the desk officer for Urban Water under the ongoing Sustainable Urban and Rural Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene (SURWASH) project.

He had undergone workshops amongst which are:

  • Capacity building workshop on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
  • Leadership and Change Management course.
  • Safety Enhancement Plan for Ero, Egbe, Ureje and Itapaji Dams in Ekiti
  • Climate Change Risk Management Programme (ESAMI, Swaziland Training Centre).

He is presently the Director of the Department of Design and Construction. He is happily married.
